Websites vary in price as greatly as new cars.  As a general rule-of-thumb, think about the kind of car you see your business as, and divide the starting price by 10.

For example:  Mid Range Site: A brand new Toyota Camry starts around $20,000.  It is a nicely styled, reliable car, nothing fancy, and not a particularly high performance vehicle.  A Toyota Camry website would start around $2,000. Starter Site: A Kia Rio (http://www.kia.com/#/rio/explore/) starts around $12,000.  It is a basic vehicle which gets the owner where they need to go.  Everything works, but doesn't have as many features, and the ride may be a little less refined.  A Kia Rio website would start around $1.200. Luxury Site: A Mercedes Benz starts around $50,000.  It is beautifully designed car with every conceivable feature, leather seats and a very powerful engine.  You also get a year of maintenance, and extra customer service.  A Mercedes website would start around $5,000.   With any level site, you can add a variety of features (sun roof, power windows, etc) for an additional cost.  Of course, the Mercedes has most of the features you would normally want, but you can get more powerful engines, convertible, etc. And, no matter how many options you add to a Kia Rio, it will never be a Mercedes Benz.
