The goal was to make a layout that was clean and accessible. The fonts were chosen for their clean lines, legibility, and interest. It highlights our key services with an image slider, and has a focus on social, with our social media links visible in the header, and Facebook Face Pile on the sidebar, as well as a Twitter stream.

 2011 marked the beginning of a new focus and direction of Scott Sawyer Consulting. Starting in 2005, our business was comprised of 4 major business segments,Technology ConsultingWebsite Development, Computer Networking, and Desktop Support. While we have enjoyed our opportunities working with our customers and their computer systems, and continue to support several of our very valued customers, we feel that our future is in Website Design and Development.

 I have been working on a new site based on Drupal 7 and Omega Theme (if you are a developer and don't know about Drupal, you are missing out BIG TIME).  The cool thing about Omega theme is that it's a responsive theme, meaning it allows your site to morph to fit different screen sizes using a new feature known as media queries.

Most people are aware that the explosion of the Mobile Web is changing the way businesses and customers connect and interact.  According to Nielson, U.S. smartphone market will hit 50% by the end of 2011.

The City of Woodstock, located in the north west coridor of Atlanta Georgia, is home to a growing number of businesses and professionals.  With lots of green space and a growing number of parks and recreational activities, it is easy to understand why it is such an attractive area for families.   For years, Towne Lake has offered great amenities to attract families, and with the revitalization of the Woodstock Main Street area, more businesses have moved in to serve these customers.

 Atlanta's small businesses are going back to the old way of doing business, with people they know.  Some of the most recent work we've received, the owners told me the fact that I am local had a big part in their decision.  The fact is, most people prefer doing business with people, not faceless corporations.  This helps explain the social media boom over the last couple of years.

Over the past couple of years, Google Analytics has risen to the top of of the Site Traffic Tracking game.  There have always been several ways to track your Web site traffic, ranging from the basic statistical data provided by most Web hosts and hit counters to more advanced server side software such as Urchin.  But Google Analytics brings some new features and advantages to this space.
