Omicron Sigma
Six determined ladies founded the Omicron Sigma chapter in Acworth, Georgia. They wanted to give of themselves to the community, and build everlasting friendship. After looking at many different women’s organization, the two founders finally decided on Delta Theta Tau. They assembled a small, but dedicated core group together for a meeting with the national officers. Things could not have gone more smoothly. Soon after, an installation date was set and Macy and Barbara set out to recruit members. Five fabulous women were installed at the June 2004 initiation. One member was out of town and was initiated in her own special ceremony a few weeks later. We have initiated several more members since then!
The ladies of Omicron Sigma come from various backgrounds, professions and experiences. We have members who are teachers, consultants, small business owners and other professionals. Some are married, some single, some engaged. About half of us have children and half do not.
